Over the Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called The Rainbow Bridge

When a beloved pet dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to The Rainbow Bridge. Theses a place of meadows and hills with lush green grass. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine; our friends are warm and comfortable. Those who are old and frail are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again. The animals are happy and content, except for one small things…they miss that special person; the one they left behind.

But the day comes when suddenly they stop and looking the distance. Their eyes are fixed and intent; their bodies begin to quiver. Suddenly, one of them breaks from the group, flying over the tall green grass, faster and faster.

You have been spotted.

Now, you and your special friend meet and you take them in your arms and embrace. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress their beloved head. Once again, you look into the trusting eyes of your loving pet.

Then you cross The Rainbow Bridge, never to be parted.
